The Lost Identity
Many believers are facing a quiet crisis, not of circumstance, but of identity. Like the nation of Israel, who drifted from God after settling into comfort and complacency, we too can lose the glory of God in our lives without even realizing it. Israel carried the Ark of the Covenant into battle as a symbol of God's presence, but the presence had already departed from within. The name Ichabod, meaning the glory has departed, was not just about a lost battle. It was the declaration of a lost identity. The good news is that the glory does not have to stay gone. Through honest self-reflection, genuine prayer, and a return to God's Word, restoration is possible. Just as God restored and commissioned Isaiah after his moment of honest reckoning, He is ready to do the same for you.
